Bistro Tables by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec
The Bistro Tables were created alongside the Soft Shell Chair and feature the same star base. Due to its discreet form, the table can be combined with many different kinds of chairs. The table version that features a table top made from solid-core material is also suitable for outdoor use.

George Nakashima Straight Chair and Splay Leg Table
There have been numerous articles relating to the Straight Chair and Splay Leg Table in the media over the last month or two. For those of you who may not have seen these pieces, I thought I would share some information on them.
They are produced by Knoll and were first introduced in 1948 bu the great wood craftsman and poet George Nakashima (1905-1990), who like many other famous furniture designers started out by studying architecture ar The University of Washington, Seattle, the Ecole Americaine des Beaux-Arts Fontainebleau in France and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He worked for Antonin Raymond. Nakashima received the gold medal for craftsmanship from the American Institue of Architects and the Hazlett Award.
The subject of several one-man exhibitions, Nakashima also authored "The Soul of a Tree: A Woodworker's Reflections".
The chair is constructed from American walnut with turned legs and stretches, and contrasting hickory spindles all in a low sheen finish. Each chair bears George Nakashima's signature under the seat.
The table top is veneer with the legs and edge details in solid American walnut. George Nakashima's signature is under the top. Its dimensions are L96 x W86.7 x H45 cm.
